Angela is a sophomore Liberty Scholar majoring in Entrepreneurship and Innovation & minoring in Neuroscience at Drexel University. She is conducting research in the Chrysikou Lab as a STAR scholar (Students Tackling Advanced Research). Angela's goal is to become a medical entrepreneur specializing in mental health innovations. Her research in the lab involves prefrontal cognitive functioning in neuropsychiatric disorders, particularly depression. Through this research, she hopes to get enough foundation in order to create alternative solutions to treating mental health disorders. Angela is also a Pfizer Strategic Initiatives Intern for Global Product Development. Within GPD, the Strategic Initiatives (SI) team partners with business leads to prioritize and execute the Non-Drug Portfolio (NDP) to enable delivery of the Pfizer purpose in delivering breakthroughs that change patients' lives. Besides research, Angela enjoys playing volleyball, watching cinema, and creating art. Additionally, Angela has worked for a startup-nonprofit called Sharing Excess. Its goal is to establish donation programs that allow universities, corporations and everyday people to share their excess food with community members in need. Angela is also part of the Dragons First marketing and communication committee. Dragons First is an organization that helps low-income, first generation college students achieve their academic and career aspirations through a network of students and professionals.
